• Tradition: Un cafe chorreado is how we Costa Ricans call a cup of coffee prepared with our traditional coffee brewing method: EL CHORREADOR de cafe Costa Rica. It can be described as a pour over coffee dripper stand (normally made of wood) that holds a flannel or cotton filter “called bolsita” that serves as the coffee strainer.
• Innovation: Chorreador professional. Our objective is to maintain the soul of the traditional Costa Rican production method while innovating in materials, functionality, and aesthetics, so that it adapts to the demands of our time. This New Design is the result of an investigation of the quality of the coffee that can be obtained through the preparation method.
• Premium materials and design! This pourover stand is made with Spanish Cedar wood (Cedrela odorata L.) and Stainless Steel. It has a clever adjustable height system meant to help retain the aroma that scapes during the evaporation process, thus obtaining a beverage with more complex flavors.
• 100% Unbleached cotton filter: We tested several prototypes and the final selection was made by conducting a blind cupping test with Costa Rica”s coffee cupping champion 2018 Esdras Vega and Coffee Masters Champion 2018 Remmy Molina.
