The manufacturing process begins when the clay is extracted from mines and deposits in La Chamba, Tolima or the municipality of Suarez, Colombia, then the pieces are elaborated under the modeling technique which consists of a totally manual technique with the minimum use of tools.
Finally, the pieces are baked in clay ovens at temperatures between 700c and 750c for two or three hours, thus obtaining its matte black color.
