• GRADES – Our cheesecloth comes in many different grades, from the loosest weave (grade 10) to the closest weave (grade 90). The looser the weave, the more space in between the fiber strands. Looser weaves can be good for certain kinds of food straining, but it is even more useful for arts and crafts and clothing applications. The closer weaves are more suited to things like soup and puree straining, coffee and wine filtering, and medical gauze.
• MATERIALS – Our cheesecloth fabric is made of 100% cotton fibers that are multi-weaved to form a durable sheet of fabric that is 36 inches wide. These come in many different grades, which is determined by weave size. The closer the weave, the higher the grade.
