Nitto P-703 High Temperature Masking Tape is primarily intended for high temperature paint masking applications and is a premium crepe paper masking tape, Nitto Denko / Permacel P703 is also designed for general-purpose masking as well as for holding and splicing – especially with difficult-to-hold surfaces such as chemically-treated fabrics. It is resistant to acrylic and alkyd paint solvents and has fair resistance to ketones and highly active polyurethane paint solvents. Made in the U.S.
NOTES: Sizes shipped will typically be the tape industry standard metric-cut sizes, i.e. 24mm for each 1 inch of nominal tape width ordered (rolls are approximately 5% narrower than the nominal size). This product’s actual size is 24mm x 55m. As with any adhesive tape product it is always the user’s responsibility to determine that the product is suitable for their intended use; e.g. if you want to remove a product cleanly from a specific type of substrate please test on an inconspicuous area first.

- Nitto P-703 High Temperature Masking Tape, a high-quality crepe paper masking tape, is designed for paint masking applications in high temperatures. Can withstand temperatures up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (149 degrees Celsius) for up to 1.5 hours without mass transfer or slivering when removed. It supports Kraft masking paint drapes at baking temperature.
- Nitto P-703 (previously known as Permacel P-703) is commonly used for general purpose masking in addition to splicing and holding. It is especially useful with hard-to-hold surfaces like chemically treated fabric. This Nitto tape is resistant to alkyd and acrylic paint solvents, with fair resistance to highly active polyurethane paint solvents and ketones.
- Features and benefits include; good high baking temperature properties, coated with natural rubber adhesive for high temperature paint masking, resistant to solvents and stains, no odor, ages well; long shelf life, excellent tear strength, quick-stick and high-hold characteristics, good elongation with optimal conformability around corners and on uneven surfaces, smooth and thin; prevents paint build-up along edges, and doesn’t highlight on appliance finishes.
- Product applications include paint masking in aerospace, automotive and housing markets, and general-purpose masking to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (149 degrees Celsius). Can be used on rough substrates like cinder block walls in schools. Standards Met: RoHS Compliant. ASTM-D6123 (Replaces obsolete UU-T-106D TYPE/ PPP-T-42C- TYPE I & CID-A-A-883B TYPE I). Boeing BAC 5034-4 TYPE VII, CLASS 2/ BAC 5317/ BAC 5336/ BAC 5578 / BAC 5598/ BAC 5657.
