Anna loves everything pink. She dreams of getting a pony for her birthday, but will Anna ever find the pink pony of her dreams?
The genesis of Anna and the Pink Pony was the search for our daughter’s first Shetland pony. Duke came home to our farm in Oregon to live out his days when he was already 31 years old. My daughter’s lifelong love affair with horses began saddled on his small but sturdy back. His wee size hid a huge heart. Duke crossed the rainbow bridge at age 41. I miss his little pony whinny every day.
The theme of the book is to follow your heart…
Anna loves everything pink. She REALLY loves horses. She dreams of getting a pony for her birthday, but it has to be a pink pony. Her father, Charley, tries to explain to her that pink ponies only exist in stories. Anna knows there is a real pink pony out there somewhere, they just have to keep searching. So, Anna and Charley set out on a mission to find one. They discover ponies big and small, sweet, and naughty and almost every other color they can imagine. But will Anna ever find the pink pony of her dreams?
Horses bring magic into the lives of children. I hope a bit of that delight jumps of the page when you read this book.
