These alkaline, manganese dioxide batteries are great for use with tape recorders, transistor radios, toys and other electronic equipment. Each D battery frequently lasts more than twice as long as the same-size, carbon-zinc battery, depending on type of use. Cylindrical battery has flat terminals. Nominal voltage is 1.5 volts. Nonchargeable batteries are packaged by people with disabilities. They meet American National Standards Institute 18.1 (ANSI 18.1) for portable primary alkaline battery cells.
