Antihistamine Allergy Perrigo Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets 10mg, 30 ct. Temporarily relieves the following symptoms of hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: runny nose, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, and nose or throat itching. That is, no prescription is required. Cetirizine is available in capsules and tablets. It is typically taken once per day and begins to work quickly. If you have allergy symptoms on a daily basis, Cetirizine (Zyrtec) is safe to take every day. If you don’t have allergy symptoms on a daily basis, you can take them as needed on days when they bother you. Cetirizine is safe to take at any time of day. Because it is non-sedating, most people take it in the morning. However, a small percentage of people find it sedating, so if it does make you drowsy, take it in the evening. Cetirizine may be administered with or without food. This leads to the clearing of nasal congestion, but it may also cause an increase in blood pressure in patients who have high blood pressure
