Chana Masala (Spiced Powder) 3.52 oz (100 g) Suitable for vegetarians. The promise of purity. Makes 8 kg of Chana Masala. Product of India. Soak 400 g chana (chick peas) overnight and cook till soft. Mash 750 g of tomato in a mixer and keep aside. Heat 3-4 tbsp ghee or oil (60 g), add 250 g chopped onions, 1 tbsp chopped green chili (15 g) and saute till golden brown. Add 2 tsp ginger paste (20 g), 1 tsp garlic paste (10 g) and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add tomato puree, 1/4 tsp turmeric (2 g) and saute till done. Add cooked chana, 3-4 tsp MTR chana masala (25 g), salt to taste, water (about 500 ml) to get required consistency and simmer for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves, julienne cut ginger and serve hot. Serve with roti, naan, chapathi, basmati rice, or any other way you desire.
