The DMV Vented Scleral Cup is an aid for INSERTION of hybrid contact lenses. Hybrid lenses are made of a gas permeable center optical area surrounded by a soft comfort skirt. The DMV Vented Scleral Cup helps the wearer guide the hybrid lens straight onto the eye in a stable manner thus avoiding dropping the lens from their finger. This tool is NOT USED FOR REMOVAL of hybrid lenses. This product has been in use for decades and has become the industry standard for patients and contact lens fitters around the world. The Vented DMV Inserter has an air channel through the handle that allows for a softer grip and easier release once the contact lens has been placed on the eye. Use the suction cup to stabilize your Scleral lens before filling it with your My Eye Supply saline of choice, and insert.
