How should I place replacement pads?
- When: Wash the replacement pads when the adhesive surface becomes dirty and/or the tens pads are difficult to attach.
- How: Wash the replacement pads softly with your fingertips under slow running cold water for several seconds (Do not use a sponge/cloth/sharp object like a nail on the adhesive side. Do not wash the tens pads too long for too frequently). Air-dry the tens unit pads. Do not wipe with a tissue paper or cloth.
- Note: The replacement pads’ life may vary by how often you wash the electrode pads, the skin condition, and how you store the pads.
MAINTENANCE:
If your reusable TENS unit pads are no longer sticky, there are a few things you can do to keep them in good condition.
(1) Use the tens pads on dry, flat areas with no perspiration or oil. If you don’t, the pads won’t stick.
(2) If you wash TENS unit relacement pads under the tap, please let them dry naturally.
(3) Make sure your skin is free from any dirt, oil or lotion before you place the stim design pads.
(4) Make sure to apply both latex-free self-adhesive electrotherapy patches to your skin; if you only use one pad, it won’t perform efficiently.
An electrode’s lifespan might vary depending on skin condition, frequency of cleaning, and storage.
You may need to replace the electrodes if:
