Strap will work with batteries that have tabs molded in the top of the battery case. This strap is recommended by Trojan for use with the 6 volt or 8 volt batteries. 12 volt batteries are a heavier battery and therefore require a stronger lifting strap. Made in U.S.A.. Before purchasing, it is important to know that there is an expiration date stamped on strap. Reasoning: The strap material is PVC and it can degrade when exposed to UV (sunlight). PVC UV degradation is usually brown so may not show up on a brownish black handle. Since there is no way to control exposure at the end user level, there is an expiration date**.
