Beginning Quilting Kit (hft-4102)

This is a great beginner’s quilting kit for those who want to learn the basic skills of quilting, but are not ready to make a full-size quilt. The best part about our quilting kit is that it appeals to both children and adults. The Beginning Quilting Kit includes 7 pieces of 5 inch square fabric, 1 piece of muslin (to cut a 7 x 7 for pillow, 9 x 11 for doll blanket and 9 x 9 for the potholder), batting, stuffing, needle and thread, pattern and instructions. The kit is designed to make 3 beginner’s projects: a potholder, a doll blanket (or mug coaster) and a small pillow (to use for a doll or possibly a pin cushion). You can choose to make 2 potholders or several coasters although the pattern instructions describe the potholder, pillow and doll blanket. The calico fabric squares will vary from kit to kit. The kit is designed to be made with hand sewing, but can be done on a machine by a beginner. You will need scissors, straight pins, a ruler and a pen or pencil to draw cutting lines on the fabric. Choking hazard – small parts. Keep out of reach of small children. Contains needle and thread. Adult supervision required.
