Broadly, "single origin" beans, as opposed to "blended" beans, refers to roasted "end" product that can be traced back to the farm where it was produced. COJ’s coffee beans are sourced from the following global regions: South America, Central America, Africa, Tropical Pacific, Indonesia. As the coffee industry has evolved over the years, driven in part by more complex consumer demands that urged and included the adoption of "fair trade" global coffee production practices, many producers were encouraged to consider increased planting and cropping capacity. With that, education and sustainability initiatives drove the industry from ground up, meaningful worker payments improved family and community outcomes, new workers were attracted to the industry and regional flavor differences could be highlighted and celebrated.
